Items purchased directly from The Retro Curiosity Shop before 1pm GMT will be subject to same working day dispatch. Items purchased after 1pm GMT will be subject to next working day dispatch. Items purchased from marketplace will be subject to the dispatch times stipulated by the seller.
Care will be taken to ensure that items purchased directly from The Retro Curiosity Shop are well packaged in order to prevent any damage in transit. Packaging standards of sellers on the marketplace are encouraged to be of a high standard, however should you encounter any issues you will be covered by PayPal Buyer protection.
Yes, items purchased from The Retro Curiosity Shop are available for worldwide distribution. For items sold via marketplace sellers, please ensure you check the individual listing for the distribution information.
No, all items must be dispatched to the verified address on your PayPal account. Failure to adhere to this will result in no protection for the seller in the event of a dispute.
When purchasing an item from a Marketplace seller, returns and refunds will be processed by the seller and you should contect them directly. For items sold by The Retro Curiosity Shop, in the first instance please contact us via support@retrocuriosity.com within 28 days of receiving your item, stating clearly your reason for requiring either a return or a refund. We will aim to resolve any issues within 5 working days of your request being received.
Both domestic and international rates are displayed on the listing. If postage is available to your country it will be displayed in the listing. It will not be possible to purchase an item that is not available in your country.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an email notification and invoice in PDF format. Additionally, you will receive a notification to you email address from PayPal confirming your purchase. PayPal offers your buyer protection and full details of all transactions can also be viewed on your PayPal account.
You can reset your password by logging in to your account and then changing your password in your account details. If you have forgotten your password you can reset this by following the link found on the account login page.
All personal details can be amended on your account details page. If you are a seller and wish to change your PayPal email address, this must be an email address registered with and verified by your Paypal account.

No, you can checkout as a guest when purchasing items but we recommend creating an account so you can track orders and save items to your watch list. You can setup an account by chosing the relevant option during the checkout process.
No, a PayPal account is not required to buy products from either the Retro Curiosity Shop or the Marketplace. You will be asked to login to PayPal during checkout but if you do not have an account, you can choose to Pay by Card and enter your details.
There are multiple ways is which you can search for items on the website: You can use the search facility available on every page and you can also search by category, era and franchise. These options are available from the homepage and within category listings. All options will search both The Retro Curiosity Shop and Marketplace inventory.
When you have found the item that you would like to purchase, simply click on "Add to Basket" and follow the simple steps from there. All payments will then be processed through PayPal.
Yes all items will have a condition as part of the listing. The grading system is as follows Grading System. Along with the grading system all items will also have photos and a description for you to refer to.
If you have queries regarding an item then prior to purchase please use the "message" facility on the listing. This will put you in direct contact with the relevant seller on the marketplace or with The Retro Curiosity Shop.
For multiple purchases from the same seller, the highest postage cost is will be applied.
If you wish to cancel an order as a buyer or as a seller you can do this by clicking the Cancel Order button, you will then be required to make choose a reason for cancellation. Any refunds must be done via the original PayPal transaction and it's the responsibility of the seller to process this refund.
You can rate any seller using our star rating system, you can choose between 1 and 5 stars depending upon the quality of your experience with the seller.
If you are buying an item from the Marketplace, in the first instance you should communicate with the seller directly to resolve any issues that you have. If this is unsuccessful then you will have buyer protection through PayPal and therefore, this should be your point of contact if you are unable to resolve any issues with the seller. If you have any issues with items purchased from The Retro Curiosity Shop website, please email support@retrocuriosity.com and we will aim to resolve them promptly for you.
Please go to the "Sell an Item" section of the website and follow the registration process. Once the registration process has been completed and accepted then you will be able to list and sell items via the RCS Marketplace.
Anyone aged 18 or over can register to sell items on the RCS Marketplace.
Yes an active and verified PayPal account is required to sell items via the RCS Marketplace. If you do not currently have one then please follow this link for further information: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/account-selection
The RCS Marketplace allows you to sell vintage items predating the year 2000 and in keeping with the ethos of the website. Items listed by sellers on the Marketplace will be reviewed to ensure they are appropriate and in line with the terms of service. If any items are deemed to be inappropriate then the seller will be contacted and the items removed.
For every sale you make through the Marketplace, 10% of the purchase price (excluding postage) will be charged.
The 10% fee is automatically applied and deducted at the point the sale occurs and via PayPal. For example, if the sale is £50 (excluding postage), £5 will go to The Retro Curiosity Shop and £45 will go to the seller, along with any postage charges paid by the customer.
There are no costs associated with listing items, therefore you can list as many items as you want to.
There is no monthly subscription fee associated with being a Seller on the RCS Marketplace.
You can list and sell as many items as you want - there are no restrictions.
Yes, you will be able to select your own seller name as part of the registration process for the Marketplace.
